A collector has kept secret for 30 years a picture of the famous actress, completely naked. It’s for the first time a picture of Liz Taylor photographed in all its glory was made public.

The picture was taken ​​by a close friend, actor and photographer Roddy McDowall. He convinced Liz to pose naked, when she was 24 years old, promising her that he would make a sensible picture, according to Daily Mail.

The actress gave the picture to her fiance Michael Todd, after he asked her to marry him, in 1956. The pair married a few months later, but their relationship ended tragically. Todd died 13 months after the wedding in a plane crash in New Mexico because of a storm.

It is believed that after her husband’s death, Liz would have given the nude photo to her assistant and stylist, Penny Taylor. He sold it to a collector in 1980, and nobody knew anything of it until a few days ago. Collector Jim Shaudis made it public “for her fans”, being the only picture showing Elizabeth Taylor naked for the whole world.

Elizabeth Taylor died on March 23, 2011 at the age of 79.
