Finally the official version of Skype for Android enabling video calls on Honeycomb tablets such as Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Motorola Xoom was released. Skype 2.5 for Android has support for video calls on 41 devices, some of them are very old.

The other new devices supported include HTC Nexus One, HTC EVO 3D, Sony Ericsson Xperia Live with Walkman Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus 3D, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Photon, Motorola Droid 3, Motorola Bionic, Motorola Atrix, Acer Iconia.

There are many fixes for bugs and the option to switch from landscape to portrait mode during video calls. Skype (Microsoft) wants to make money with Skype and places ads even on Android devices that use the free version of Skype.
